Chevron By Refin

Porcelain Tiles
Refin Chevron

“A legacy of the great Renaissance glory, the Chevron collection is reminiscent of the old wood parquet flooring, with slats arranged in imposingly elegant patterns, referred to as Hungarian herringbone or point de hongrie and the chevron.

An extraordinary technique that was also frequently used in the great halls of Versailles adds a touch of prestige to any room, in which it becomes a work of art in its own right. It is thus suited to more elegant areas around the home, to communal and commercial areas, and to other more refined areas open to the public such as museums, galleries, fashion boutiques and showrooms.

One size only (10×60) is available which means that only two tiles placed side by side are needed to create a full herringbone layout.

Chevron is available in different tones of wood: a warmer shade, a cooler shade and a whitened shade, almost with a black/white effect.”

Labyrinth by Giulio Lacchetti-Refin

Refin Labyrinth by Giulio Iacchetti

So the concept is to conceive and design an element that is repeated all over the pattern, forming traces that wind around each other, marking patterns that are alternatively regular and complex, able to evoke a sense of depth, creating authentic three dimensional graphic labyrinths: hence the name of this collection of tiles.

This project derives from an original geometric construction generated within a square, lines that join mid-points to the opposite vertices until they form two opposing L-shaped elements, which – depending on the direction the tile is turned in – make it possible to draw orderly lines of squares, segmented zigzag lines, or, without any pre-established laying scheme, create never-ending graphic perimeters the eye gets lost in.

Plant By Refin

Porcelain Tiles
Refin Plant

Post-industrial material

A brand-new hybrid industrial material, Plant is a wood-cement with a used-look appeal and a decidedly contemporary allure. The conspicuous scratching on the surface, the signs of wear and tear and the distinctive colours all contribute to shaping the underground atmosphere the collection takes its inspiration from. The neutral Powder and the more classic Ash grey are joined by Clay beige, dark Rope and markedly reddish Copper.

The tiles come in 2 sizes, ideal for enhancing the shading effect once laid: Wood and cement, both elements typical of urban areas and industrial redevelopment, combine to play a key role in a superbly contemporary look for surfaces ready to bring a modern slant to any setting.

Cromie By Refin

Porcelain Tiles
Refin Cromie

The Cromie collection is the result of the research into the chromatic component as a key factor of design thinking and it represents a new tool for a strategic use of colours in interior projects.

The innovative collection offers a range of 36 chromatic shades organized into 4 families with a logical structure that describes colours in the same way they are seen by the human eye and defines them using three parameters: hue, lightness and saturation.

Refin Design Industry

Design Industry is the new multi-material collection inspired by urban design and contemporary architectural trends.

It includes two different surfaces offered in a wide range of sizes and colours to exalt the utmost project-planning freedom.

The Oxyde ceramics evoke the glazed look of oxidized metals combining bright and dark shades.

Raw represents the chromatic and structural interpretation of raw cement and flaking plasters.

These peculiarities are exalted by the large sizes that enhance graphic traits and allow for the creation of extensive surfaces without interruption.

London By Ceramica Rondine

Porcelain Tiles
London By Ceramica Rondine

“The Brick Generation project gains a new element, inspired by the production of hand-made bricks fired in a furnace in London. Back in the early 20th century, the surfaces were shaded, with a variety of colours. The appeal of traditional craftsmanship techniques, with the imperfections in the glazes – as a result of unstable temperatures – reflected in a porcelain stoneware with a genuine character, obtained using leading-edge ceramic technologies. London is a tile ready to enliven the floors and walls of the home with an original urban, metropolitan allure. It comes in 2.3″ x 10″ – in a colour range featuring earthy shades: multicolor, sunset, beige, charcoal, fog and the new brown, obtained by mixing black, cream and brown.”
